MEET LEIGH HULSEY
Leigh Hulsey is a wife, mother, small-business owner, and Alabama State Representative serving House District 15. A lifelong Alabamian, Leigh brings a commitment to faith, family, and community to her work in public service.
Before her election to the Alabama House in 2022, Leigh served on the Helena City Council, working with residents and local leaders on the issues closest to home. An Auburn University graduate, she has built her career around business ownership, community involvement, and public service. Her experience includes owning CrossFit Alabaster and serving as president of the Alabaster Business Alliance.
In Montgomery, Leigh prioritizes strong schools, safe neighborhoods, responsible spending, and practical tax relief. As a business owner and mother, she understands how decisions made at the State House affect families, employers, and the communities they call home. She believes effective leadership begins with listening, building relationships, and following through.
Leigh and her husband, Dennis, have three children. Her Christian faith and love for her family guide her commitment to serving others and helping Alabama remain a place where families can grow, find opportunity, and build their future.
In the book of Matthew, Jesus is asked, "what is the greatest commandment," and Jesus replies, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, and soul and love one another as yourself." In Galatians, it goes on to say, "we are called to be free," but instructed not to use our freedom for ourselves; but rather to serve one another humbly in love.
I love the Lord with all that I am, and my agenda is to serve others well!
"I love serving and working with others. My knowledge and conservative experiences have prepared me for this moment. I know I can make a difference in the lives of those I will represent. The citizens of District 15 deserve a God-fearing, strong, qualified, conservative leader representing them," said Hulsey.
Hoover Councilman Steve McClinton said, "Hoover is blessed to have such a strong conservative and experienced leader in Leigh Hulsey running for this House District. She will be an excellent State Representative."
Former Helena Councilman Hewy Woodman said, "This district would be very fortunate to have Leigh Hulsey fighting for us. Her leadership, fiscal responsibility, and family values are what we need."
House District 15 has almost 50,000 citizens and is in Shelby and Jefferson Counties, including parts of Hoover, Helena, McCalla, and Bessemer.
